Like the academy, Dutch nature is also under pressure. Although we often recognise the importance of nature, it is often a lot harder to recognise and truly appreciate nature. During the bio walk, we explore, from an ecological perspective, the value of our Dutch nature and then ask how we should recognise it.
13.50h | Workshop round 2
15.05 - 15.20h | Short coffee break
15.20 - 16.15h | Plenary continuation
>>> 'Teamnote' on how Research Culture (UK) relates to diverse and talented teams by Candy Rowe and her colleagues

Similarly to the Netherlands, improving research culture is high on the agenda for universities and research organisations in the UK. In this Teamnote, colleagues from Newcastle University will share more about the approaches being taken to build research culture across the UK, both at institutional and national levels, and explore some of the similarities and differences in approaches between our two countries. We will focus on some of the collaborative initiatives and projects in the UK relating to the festival theme, including those around inclusive leadership, teamwork, and reward and recognition. Our aim is to start a conversation between our research communities about the work we are each doing, to stimulate learning across national boundaries about what works and what we see the stubborn challenges for change to be, and to drive meaningful positive change in how we do research.
16.15h | Network drinks
